TECHNICAL EDUCATION PROVISION

CTEVT through its constituted and other affiliated schools has been running various courses on health, engineering and agriculture trades in diploma level or proficiency certificate level. TSLC level programs are offered in health, agriculture, engineering, social mobilization, office management etc trades. On the other hand, the entry requirement for TSLC level is SEE appeared candidates for the course of 18 months. TSLC and proficiency/diploma level programs are mentioned in details as follows:

1. CERTIFICATE/DIPLOMA LEVEL PROGRAMS:

The entry requirement for 3 years certificate/diploma level programs is SEE passed.

Agriculture

Opportunities for Higher Education in Engineering Trade: Those who completed these courses as mentioned above can be eligible to sit in entrance examination of bachelor level in related subject.

  1. I. Sc. Ag. (Plant Science)
  2. I. Sc. Ag. (Animal Science)

Engineering

Opportunities for Higher Education in Health Trade: Those who completed these courses as mentioned above can be eligible to sit in entrance examination of bachelor level in related subject.

  1. Diploma in Civil Engineering
  2. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  3. Diploma in Electrical Engineering
  4. Diploma in Geomatics Engineering
  5. Diploma in Computer Engineeringiploma in Computer Engineering
  6. Diploma in Information Engineering
  7. Diploma in Automobile Engineering
  8. Diploma in Agriculture Engineering

Health/Medical Science

Note: Those who completed General Medicine course can be eligible to sit in the entrance examination of Bachelor in Public Health (BPH) and other disciplines, but need to complete deficiency course of science conducted by National Education Board (NEB) to be eligible for MBBS entrance examination. In order to study Bachelor in Nursing (BN) two years of job experience is required. In addition, graduates of Diploma in Pharmacy and Proficiency in Medical Lab Technology courses can be eligible for the bachelor level in respective subjects.

  4. Proficiency Certificate in Radiography
  5. Proficiency Certificate in Ayurvedic Science

2. TSLC PROGRAMS:

The entry requirement for following TSLC programs is SEE completed.

Agriculture

Opportunities for upper-level study: Those who complete above-mentioned courses by receiving at least 68.66 per cent can be eligible to sit in the entrance examination of I. Sc. Ag.

  1. Agriculture  (Animal Science)
  2. Agriculture (LiveStock Production / Animal Health )
  3. Agriculture  (Plant Science)

Engineering (Sub-overseer)

Note: Those who completed General Medicine course can be eligible to sit in the entrance examination of Bachelor in Public Health (BPH) and other disciplines, but need to complete deficiency course of science conducted by National Education Board (NEB) to be eligible for MBBS entrance examination. Management & Humanities

Note: Management Education and Humanities argues that management teachers and researchers seem to be increasingly dissatisfied with the way managers are usually educated in western countries. It claims that educational practices and methods would greatly benefit from reflection on the implicit assumptions and paradigms behind those practices, and debates the role that humanism and humanities might play in the formation of new managerial élites.

VOCATIONAL TRAINING PROVISION

With the aim of providing certain professional and vocational skills to the people who are either unable to gain higher education or are interested to gain certain vocational/ professional skills for their better professional career, CTEVT through its owned managed and affiliated technical schools and training centers has been running various vocational training programs of short duration ranging from 39 hours to 1500 hours. The courses are offered as per the demand and needs of the people, especially in the field of agriculture, engineering, health, tourism, management and computer. Specifically, the most of the institutes have been running mushroom production, vegetable production, gardening, cooking/baking, housekeeping etc. Regarding short term vocational training and other skill training, anybody can take part in the programs.
